I live on the island of Oahu, in Hawaii where I was born and raised. My husband and I have two boys and two dogs who keep us on our toes.
Most days you can find me listening to an audiobook, playing chauffeur to my kids, and learning all about Minecraft and Pokemon from my 10 year old. I've spent a lot of my kiddos' younger years working and substitute teaching at their schools before making photography my full-time job.
I enjoy traveling, iced coffee, major league baseball (go Dodgers!), and moms' nights in.
my approach
I love being able to capture genuine + spontaneous moments. I view my job behind the camera as a documenter, providing you with a freeze-frame of your current chapter in life.
While everyone may want a family picture with all members smiling and looking at the camera, we know our littles can be unpredictable. I've found that everyone is more relaxed, has fun, and is less stressed when sessions are led by the kids.
I have worked with many families that have a child on the spectrum or may struggle in social settings. I am confident in my interactions with them and if this is a concern for you, please let me know so we can discuss further.
I will give posing suggestions and prompts as needed to ensure everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera. My goal is not only to provide you with beautiful photos, but to also have you leave a session with a full heart.
