There’s something really special about photographing newborns at home—especially when the light pours in, the baby is content, and the parents are totally at ease. This in-home newborn session here in Boise was the kind that reminds me why I love what I do.

From the moment I walked in, the house was calm. These new parents were totally rocking it and so chill. There was no rushing, no pressure—just a slow morning,  how it should be when you first bring home your baby.

This little one was incredibly calm. She was just went with the flow as I moved around them which doesn't always happen but when it does, it's nice! Even if she were to be hungry, grumpy, etc my approach as a Boise newborn photographer is that your baby sets the pace, always.

In-home newborn photography is about more than just beautiful photos—it’s about preserving what this season actually feels like. Your home holds the story: the nursery you worked so hard on, the couch where you’ve spent hours feeding and cuddling, the windows where morning light spills in while the rest of the world feels far away.


For new parents, staying home makes everything easier. No packing up diapers, outfits, bottles, or worrying about being on time. You also don't have to think about germs, especially during cold and flu season, or strangers trying to touch your new baby.


And don’t worry about your home being “perfect.” I’m always looking for the best natural light and simple, meaningful moments—not perfection. I work with what’s there and make it beautiful.
